About

As well as investing in infrastructure, we want to create green jobs. This is going to be a green recovery, with concern for our environment at its heart. As part of that, I’m announcing today a new £2 billion Green Homes Grant.

From September, homeowners and landlords, will be able to apply for vouchers to make their home more energy efficient and create local jobs. The grants will cover at least two thirds of the cost, up to £5,000 per household. For low income households, we will go even further, with vouchers covering the full cost, up to £10,000.

- Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak (June 2020)

These unprecedented times have called for unprecedented actions. A government aiming for a tailored recovery, as it seeks to improve housing in a bid to continue the environmental gains created by lockdown.

With the UK economy shrinking by a record 20.4% in April, the future of housing asset management is largely unclear. How will the sector manage under a new recession and large scale unemployment?

At Salford Professional Developments’ Housing Asset Management conference 2020, high-caliber industry speakers will discuss the changing landscape, strategic asset management, environmental approaches and much more!
